Bats are typically symbolic of death and rebirth. Being that they live in the cavernous depths of earth and fly free when darkness descends. In Chinese culture Bats are believed to be lucky as the bringers of good fortune and luck to all those that get to lay eyes on them in person (and in their natural habitat)
Cats have long been associated with Witches as their trusted familiars and companions. This holds true to this day. They symbolize independence, agility, intelligence and cunning. They have long been held in high esteem dating back to Ancient Egypt where cats were revered as God/Goddesses. My favorite being Bastet. There is much mythology connected to the feline race and is worth exploring.
That being said, who wouldn't want to have an epic hair accessory with such fascinating symbolism!
