This well-crafted hair clip is imbued with many symbols that connect it to our dark Goddess Hekate.
From the triple moon symbol in the center representing the three phases of the Goddess and the moon. (maiden, mother, crone and for the moon Waxing, full and waning) The center of this triple moon symbol however is not a pentagram but a strophalos which is the symbol for Hekate, the Greek Goddess of magick, the crossroads and spirits. The interwoven circles on either side of the triple moon are a representation of the seed of life, this flows out to two more crescent moons that when looked at inclusively as a whole, represents the triple moon aspect again. Nestled into the curve of the crescent moons you will see the contained flames. These represent Hekate's torches, she uses these to guide souls through the darkness to the underworld. Which in turn brings us to the keys that frame the center of the hair clip. Hekate's keys, these are the keys used by the Goddess to unlock (or lock) the gates to the underworld (to which she has used the torches to guide their way illuminating the darkness)
